Hugo's Menu Redesign

This project was created for my Typography Systems Two class in which we were tasked with redesigning the menu of local Fayetteville restaurants. Being born and raised here in Fayetteville I had plenty of ideas of which restaurant to choose but I eventually landed on Hugo's, in my opinion, a staple to the community. Hugo's is a local business that first opened in 1977 and its current menu has not changed since its original opening. For my design, I wanted to give the menu a modern revamp while also staying true to the restaurant's established and highly curated aesthetic. Inside Hugo's, there is a range of eclectic and vintage artwork that hangs the walls as well as their iconic neon signs that adorn each corner of the room. The neon signs are where I drew most of my inspiration from. See, when this menu is held under the neon lights of the restaurants the illustrations will brighten and become more visible. So in essence, you have to be inside the restaurant, under their iconic lights, to get the full experience of Hugos.
